Q: How do I line up my radio trays?

A: The most forward part of the tray should be lined up flush with the front of the instrument panel. This keeps the face of the radios from hitting the front of the instrument panel and stopping the radio from seating properly. Also I suggest leaving 1/16th of an inch between radio trays so the faces don't hit each other and air can get in between the radio. Stacking them too close will cause excessive heat.

Q: I'm not sure how to connect to my mic/phone jacks.

A: Connect wires using the below discription and picture.

Mic low: This is the same as mic ground and connects to the metal hole called the "Sleeve" in a mic jack.

Mic Audio: This connects to the middle prong called the "Ring".

Mic Key: This goes to the furthest prong away from the hole. It is called the "Tip". This can also be referred to as the PTT or push to talk line. This connection allows a hand mic to key a radio so it will transmit. A wire also goes from this point to your stick or yolk PTT switch.

Phone Low: This is the same as phone ground and connects to the metal hole called the "Sleeve" in a phone jack.

Phone Hi: This goes to the furthest prong away from the hole. It is called the "Tip". It is the phone audio.

Stereo jack: In a stereo jack the middle prong (Ring)is left audio and the furthest prong away from the hole (Tip) is right audio.
